Affiliate marketing has now invaded Hollywood? We know it invaded US politics in Washington as some politicians (current and retired) are silent affiliate marketers or in MLM. Maybe we can look forward to hearing in the next few years about more celebrities going from actors and actresses to home-based affiliate marketers. Wouldn’t that be something?
Most affiliate networks are known to have various payout models but the two most popular ones are Cost-Per-Sale and Cost-Per-Action. The former payout model usually pays a particular commission to an affiliate marketer after they refer a lead which converts to a sale. Most marketers like this model because they will only pay a small percentage after they are paid by the buying customer. Cost-Per-Action, on the other hand, pays affiliates after a specific action has been taken by the lead or referral. This payout model does not necessarily entail a direct sale and some of the most popular actions include opt-ins, registrations, sign-ups, impressions, form submissions or clicks.
Once you acquire a customer through an affiliate, you can then market directly to that customer going forward. It’s important to figure out the lifetime value of your customer as that can also help you decide what commission to pay. With this information you can decide if your acquisition costs are correct or you may decide to be more aggressive with payouts to get those customers in the door.

Do you have any information on how to set up and link Landing Page, Thank you page, etc. in Thrive (For an Affiliate funnel) like you do with Clickfunnels? I have read and watched several times (above) but am not able to convert Clickfunnel understanding to Thrive. I have watched several tutorials in Thrive University and haven't yet seen how to do that. Any assistance is greatly appreciated; Thank you!
That means the other half, the vendors getting, so unless their offer is really converting high, which sometimes they do, you may not break even immediately. You might spend a dollar on Facebook ads and make 50 cents. So what you gotta do next is then that person gave you their email address, now you build an email sequence. So maybe the first three email in the email sequence are like, “Hey, did you watch the video about the cool shake? Watch it here.” And your second one is like, “Here’s a testimonial of some dude who took the magic shake and their feet don’t hurt anymore. Watch the video.” Keep pushing back, two or three emails, pushing back to that original video.
Amazing article. One question I have is about how to avoid the risk of FB terminating an ad account for using it to drive traffic to this kind of landing page. The first part of that question is, do you think a simple opt-in page like you described (with no content other than a "hook" that FB might argue is deceptive) would result in the ad being disapproved and possibly the ad account at risk of being terminated? The second part of the question is do you think the FB ad itself would need to be toned down, or do you think it's safe to just repeat the hook? It seems like FB is getting more and more strict about this kind of thing.
